Course Details
The Leicester TOE course is a hands-on, five-day course held 3 times per year. The number of participants is limited to six per course to allow optimal hands-on training. The course includes all aspects of practical TOE training for the beginner and intermediate skilled echocardiocardiographer. Previous echocardiography experience is not essential but the course can also be adapted for more experienced practitioner.
The course includes lectures, tutorials, TOE simulation practice and extensive hands-on training.
Delegates can expect hands-on training in TOE in our 3 cardiac operating theatres, on the adult critical care unit and the adult and congenital cardiology catheter laboratory.
The course is suitable for anaesthetists, surgeons, adult cardiologists, intensivists, cardiac physiologists and radiologists.
This course is recognised by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for 20 CME credits.
