About this Centre
The Lancashire Cardiac Centre is a major specialist heart and lung centre in the North-West of England. The new building opened in 2006 next to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, consolidating cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery services into one state-of-the-art facility, significantly boosting regional cardiac care capacity and reducing waiting lists with advanced diagnostics, theatres, and beds for complex heart treatments.
We cater to a population of 1.6 million in Lancashire and South Cumbria and are the pioneers of minimally invasive cardiac surgery in the UK. We pride ourselves for having very good patient outcomes and follow the best practices of care.
