GPICS V3 is now officially live. This latest version is broken down into five sections covering intensive care structure, workforce, clinical care, service development and preparedness. Each section contains multiple chapters and is broken down into an introduction, minimum standards, recommendations for a quality service, background and explanation, and references. IACA
The International Academy of Cardiac Anaesthesiologists (IACA) is a global collaboration of physicians committed to leadership in the field of cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesia, intensive care and perioperative medicine. IACA is comprised of international member societies exclusively for the purpose of carrying out non-profit making activities related to quality improvement, education and research.
Training Opportunities
The Resident Subcommittee has compiled a broad resource in their section to guide entrance into and support training in cardiothoracic anaesthesia and critical care. There is additional guidance on accreditation processes and how to work towards a substantive consultant appointment.
