Building on the success of the last three meetings, we are pleased to announce speaker highlights for the fourth Scottish Right Heart Symposium which is now open for booking. This will take place on Wednesday 19th November at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel.
As per the previous meetings, the Scottish Right Heart Symposium will be a specialised meeting covering everything right heart and pulmonary circulation. Bringing together a multi-disciplinary team of experts the meeting will cover, clinical challenges, novel therapeutic techniques, clinical management, emerging assessment methods and cutting-edge basic science. As before we hope attendance will be truly multidisciplinary – previously we have had great representation from medical, nursing, allied health, physiologists and clinician and basic scientists in addition to under- and post-graduate students. Again, we look forward to welcoming a strong international faculty.
Speaker highlights include:
- Novel techniques to monitor RV function through RV waveform assessment
Professor Andre Deanult, Professor, Institut de Cardiologie de Montréal, Canada - The future of Tricuspid Valve intervention
Dr Ee Ling Heng, Adult Congenital and Structural Interventional Cardiologist, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital, London - Oxygenation-sensitive and 4D-Flow CMR to assess the impact of anaesthesia and positive pressure ventilation
Dr Dominik Guensch, Associate Professor, University of Bern, Switzerland - The RV Net(Work): Current clinical practice and future developments in right heart echocardiography
Prof Harry Magunia, Head of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesia, University of Tubingen, Germany
Back by popular demand, the Scottish Right Heart Symposium will be accompanied by an Advanced RV Echo Masterclass the day before the main meeting (Tuesday 18th November). Additionally, we will be accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentation. Abstracts will be judged with prizes awarded and all orally presented abstracts published in the prestigious British Journal of Anaesthesia.
Tickets are available to book by clicking below.
Abstracts will open on Friday 1st August and close on Friday 26th September, with successful authors notified by Friday 17th October.
