1. ACTACC is a private limited company by guarantee without share capital use of ‘limited’ exemption.
  2. Members will be expected to uphold the aims and objectives as laid out in the constitution.

Membership

  1. Membership fees will be collected annually.
  2. Payment will be collected by direct debit for UK members. 
  3. Membership fees are subject to change to ensure the financial security of the association. Any changes to fees will be proposed at the AGM and, if accepted, the change will be communicated to members a minimum of 1 month before their renewal date.
  4. The date of joining will be set as the renewal date for new members. Established members will continue with their existing renewal date of 1st November each year. Lapsed members will be treated as new members once their direct debit has been reactivated.
  5. GoCardless will notify UK members in advance of the renewal date.
  6. PayPal will notify overseas members in advance of the renewal date.
  7. Non-payment of membership fees will be brought to the attention of the member by the ACTACC Administrative Team. If no payment has been received by 1 month following the renewal date then the membership will be considered lapsed and member privileges withdrawn.

Cancellation

  1. Membership can be cancelled anytime during the year and before the renewal date. Please inform info@actacc.org and cancel the direct debit with your bank.
  2. The ACTACC Administrative Team will aim to acknowledge cancellations within 2 weeks.
  3. Refunds will only be offered in extenuating circumstances. Please communicate with info@actacc.org and your case will be reviewed by the ACTACC Executive Committee.

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Subject to the Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company and to any rules for the time being made thereunder and to any terms for membership applicable to the Company, I hereby apply for membership of the Company and in the event of the Company being wound up while I am a member, or within one year afterwards, I undertake to contribute such amount as may be required, not exceeding £10.00 for payment of the debts and liabilities of the Company contracted before my ceasing to be a member and of the cost, charges and expenses of winding up and for the adjustment of the rights of contributories among themselves.
