I am a consultant anaesthetist (cardiothoracic & intensive care) with a specialist interest in education, research, risk scoring, and prehabilitation. I did my anaesthetic training in Cambridge and Bristol, with a fellowship at Duke University, USA. Former Clinical Director and Deputy Lead for professional standards, UHCW. Associate Professor, Warwick Medical School. My national roles include the Association of Anaesthetists (Director & Board Member), NIHR, CQC, BSE (Lead Examiner – TOE). I am an international committee member on the SCA (USA). My hobbies include cricket (Mumbai Indians), basketball (Houston Rockets), and cooking (enthusiastically).
